Don't everyone get upset now. This was an empty can and she was licking the outside. We just thought that it was cute with her holding it and licking all by herself.
Every year Ryan's family goes up Big Cottonwood Canyon for breakfast. Kiyah loved being with the cousins and watching them run up and down the mountain side. She is getting all ready to go somewhere fast, but has no way to get there. Next year she'll be running with the best of them.
Kiyah's favorite cousin Sydnee. Oopps! I meant Sydnee's favorite cousin Kiyah. Sydnee was the only girl until now. She has two brothers and about 6 boy cousins. Anytime she can Sydnee will play with Kiyah and try and hold her. Too bad she is not old enough to babysit, then we would be set. :-)
We all started out with shirts from Old Navy, however, Kiyah did not seem to like the idea of us all matching, so she threw up on mom and her just before we had to leave. And we couldn't get the shirts dried before we had to leave. But atleast we got one picture.
Lounging on Dad at Sugar House park, waiting for the Fire works to start. She slept through some of them, then she started watching the big ones, then got bored and fell asleep again. The loud booms and cracks did not bother her, she just liked the pretty colors in the sky.
Camping up near Pleasant View over Father's Day weekend. We went out to the Manti Pagent and had a fun evening. We actually forgot a blanket for her so we ended up trying to sit on one and wrap her up with it as well. But it was a nice pagent and a fun evening.
Kiyah being held by Jackie. This is when she was just one week old. It is one of my favorite pictures. I think mostly because she is playing with her hands and they are open instead of in fists.
Ryan and Nikki met in San Diego while Ryan was serving his mission. We became friends a year after he returned home from his mission and just hit it off. We dated for a while... ok it was 2 months. We were engaged in August and married in January of 2004. We lived in Murray for a year before buying our house in Kearns, a stones throw from all the siblings in Ryan's family. Our daughter Kiyah joined the scene in April of 2007 and we are glad to welcome our son Xander to the gang since the end of January in 2009.
This is for all friends and family who do not get to see us very often. We want to make sure that you are kept up to date with how we are here in Utah. We love you all and hope all is well with you.
